We took full advantage of President's Day and spent a fun,family-filled day at the San Francisco Zoo. We've taken Emerson to the zoo once before, but he didn't pay much attention then; this trip he was all about taking in his surroundings. His favorite attraction had to be the swimming penguins. His Auntie was holding him and anytime she turned away from the penguins, Emerson did whatever he could to see them again.
The weather was just perfect! The sunshine made for some great pics! Hope you enjoyed some of my favorite pictures from our day at the zoo!

6 & 7/52
Geesh, it only took me 6 weeks to drop the ball on this project, but I'm trying to play some catch up. The last two weeks have been all about LOVE! Those of you who follow me on IG and FB have already seen this overload of cuteness, but I'm sure you won't mind seeing it again!
We loved spending our Valentine's Day with this little cutie. Maybe we'll have to have a Mommy and Daddy date night next week! We hope you all were spoiled with lots of love from your special Valentines! Emerson sends lots of hugs and kisses your way!

5/52
Working part-time allows me to spend my Mondays and Tuesdays with this crazy little monkey. Emerson is getting such a big personality so he keeps me VERY entertained! This is what happens when I try to get him to work on tummy time. Since he's mastered rolling from his belly to back that's the first thing he does whenever you put him on his tummy. Once he's off of his tummy the next thing he does is go straight for his feet. He found his feet about a month ago, but he's just realizing that if he stretches just right he can put his toes in his mouth. Anytime he's laying down it's almost instant that his foot is in his mouth. Changing his diaper has become a big joke! This is pretty much the position he takes every time I'm trying to fasten his diaper.
Emerson has become very good at self-soothing himself to sleep when we put him down for naps or bedtime. Since we put him in his crib awake he tends to find things to keep him entertained until he passes out. Generally this includes sucking his thump and talking gibberish, but every now and then he finds those feet. We constantly walk in to find his socks hanging off his foot and soaking wet. Hey-whatever works!
Unfortunately I won't be working part-time forever so I'm treasuring every minute I have with this little guy. The silly things he does makes my days complete!
